Volunteer Service to NYHS
Parents, do you know that your time contribution to NYHS is most highly valued?
We rely on our parent volunteers to help keep administrative costs down. We also rely on our parents for their creativity and talents to benefit our school in a variety of ways from planning the dinner and auction, to enhancing our facility, to providing educational support to students and so much more.
Did you know that your volunteer service could even help your child succeed in high school?
Studies have shown that students of involved parents perform better at the high school level. Your example shows your children how important their educaton is to you and, at the same time, strengths the school community.

Each year, we ask our parents to perform a minimum of 10 hours of service to the school. Many do much more! To report your volunteer hours, click here.
A student may not volunteer in lieu of a parent. Periodically, we ask your help to update our records. While your time contribution is our primary goal, any unfulfilled hours will be assessed a fee of $25 per hour at the end of the school year.
If you have any questions about volunteer hours or would like to find out how you can help the school, please call us at 206-232-5272.
Thank you!
